I received this letter in the mail yesterday. It looks like Avonex is now offered in a new and exciting format — a pen!! Take a look at the current auto injector that is available for use with Avonex in Canada.

Biogen Idec and the MS Alliance (MSA) are proud to announce Health Canada’s approval of the NEW once-a-week autoinjector, AVONEX PEN. Health Care Practitioners (HCP) will be made aware as soon as product becomes available nationwide. To receive AVONEX PEN, you will need a new prescription from your HCP. The MSA will provide immediate access to reimbursement and ensure that you are trained by a Registered Nurse on the use of AVONEX PEN.
